My name is Karen and I’ve been sewing since about age thirteen.
As I browsed the web, I found quite a number of excellent sewing websites filled with great
information, but each one seemed to assume the visitor already had some knowledge of sewing . I
didn’t see anything out there for the true beginner. (If you find such a site, let me know.)
So I created this website.
Its purpose is to provide beginners with a solid foundation of the basics. And in addition, to provide
visitors with sources of additional sewing information, sewing tools, and sewing supplies.
