Online Sewing Pattern Sources
Lots and lots of sewing pattern retailers! Over 100 on this list so far, and as I discover more, I'll
certainly add them.

Most sewers are familiar with the “big four” pattern companies (Butterick, McCall's, Vogue, &
Simplicity), but there are many independent pattern designers out there, and you'll find many of their
patterns sold by the retailers listed below.

And keep in mind that many of these retailers also sell fabric, sewing notions & tools.

Sewing Quick Tip:

Consider machine
basting the side
seams of your
garment before
sewing the
permanent seams.
It's often the side
seams where
adjustments to fit
need to be made.
Therefore, if the
seams are basted
first, these
adjustments will
be easier to make.
Sewing Quick Tip:

Beginner Tip:

When laying your
pattern pieces onto
your fabric,
arrange them as
close together as
you can. This is to
ensure that you’re
able to get all of
your pieces onto
your fabric and
that you use the
least amount of
fabric possible.
