Sewing Machine Quick Tips:
If you have difficulty threading your sewing machine needle, try threading the needle first, before inserting it into your machine. You’ll be able to see the eye of your needle much more easily.
And be sure to use a brand new needle with each sewing project or after about eight hours of continuous sewing. Sewing machine needles actually get dull with use. Signs that your needle may be dull is if it has a hard time penetrating your fabric and/or you hear a thumping noise as you sew.
And if you're working with a knit fabric, use a ballpoint needle in your machine when sewing. The rounded point of this needle will slide between the fibers of your knit fabric instead of piercing them.
