A Better Way to Press Seams Open
Use a seam roll as your surface when pressing seams open. The rounded surface of the
seam roll will keep the edges of your seam allowances from pressing a ridge into the right
side of your fabric. This is especially important when working with very thick fabric.
To use the seam roll, just lay your seam lengthwise over the top of it and press the seam
open as usual.
