How to Remove Difficult Stitching
To remove dense embroidery or buttonhole stitching that you can’t seem to get under with the tip of your seam ripper, try this technique:
Using good lighting, slide a straight pin underneath the stitching. Then use the tip of a razor blade to carefully cut through the stitching across the top of the pin. The straight pin not only lifts the threads for you, but provides a barrier to keep you from accidentally cutting into your fabric.
