Stitch Options for Knits

When sewing seams in knit fabrics, it's important to use a stitch that will stretch with
your fabric so your seams won't break when you wear your finished garment.

If you don’t own a serger, here are three stitch options for you:

You can use a regular
straight stitch and stretch your fabric as you sew.

You can use a tiny
zigzag stitch, which can actually resemble a straight stitch from a
distance.

You can use a
stretch stitch if your sewing machine has this capability.

And remember to test the stitch on a scrap of your fabric first before starting your
project.
